The haystacks that populate Lala Meredith-Vula’s ongoing 30-year photography series, take on quaint, human-like characteristics. Their freakish height propped up by long timber limbs stand tall and proud in front of you, and you get the impression, as you stare in awe at the fantastical structures, that buried deep under the hay, there is a set of eyes staring right back at you.
