Platform: O GOCË
Role: Founder and creative director
Date: 2019
I created and launched OG Magazine in 2019 (now paused).
An independent publication documenting the work and voices of Albanian women and non-binary creatives across the global diaspora
Diaspora voices. Stories unrecorded. Now in print.
Diaspora voices. Stories unrecorded. Now in print.
Issue 1: The Kismet Issue (2019)
The inaugural issue of O GOCË.
A beginning I wanted to be shaped by surrender — with no fixed idea of where the magazine might lead or what it would evolve into. The aim was simple but ambitious: to unite Albanian women and non-binary creatives across the diaspora in one place.
Kismet became both concept and lens: a way of interrogating culture, reframing borders, and celebrating energy. Whether it worked or not, the act of creating it was itself enough. The result was a testimony to collaboration, identity, and the power of stories shared.

Issue 2: A Romantic State of Mind (2020)
A labour of love.
The O GOCË community was growing, new collaborators joining in. The theme of love brought work that was raw, personal, sometimes messy — euphoria and fear, beauty and fatigue. A necessary step in the journey.

ISSUE 3: The Genesis Issue (2022)
Genesis. The beginning, is sometimes also the end (for now).
A theme of cycles — birth, growth, closure. Moving to curate, but heavy to carry: balancing O GOCË, global collaborations, and a full-time job. Perhaps it was time to pause, until I could give it the space it needed to grow. The story rests here, for now.
